BMW unveils electric i3 M60 sedan with two motors — Motor1

BMW has unveiled the first i3 M60 version from the M Performance lineup — an electric sports sedan with two electric motors and all-wheel drive. The company has not yet disclosed the model’s power output; sales are expected to begin in 2027, Motor1 reports.

Power output has not yet been named

BMW calls the i3 M60 an exceptionally powerful model, but has not yet released technical specifications for its powertrain. It is known that the sedan will receive two electric motors and an all-wheel-drive system.

The standard i3 50 xDrive has 463 hp and 645 Nm of torque. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 200 km/h. BMW has not yet provided data on the i3 M60’s acceleration or top speed.

Optional M Performance components

In the released images, the i3 M60 was shown with optional M Performance Parts components. These include carbon-fiber elements intended to give the electric sedan a more aggressive appearance. Such components will also be available for the gasoline-powered M350 xDrive.

For the i3 50 xDrive, BMW claims an EPA-rated range of 718 to 753 kilometers on a single charge. In the European WLTP cycle, the model is rated for up to 912 kilometers. Range figures for the more powerful i3 M60 have not been announced.

In the United States, the 2027 BMW i3 50 xDrive will cost from $62,850 including delivery. The M350 xDrive starts at $67,250 before options are added. The manufacturer has not yet named the i3 M60’s price.

The i3 50 xDrive and M350 xDrive are scheduled to enter the market in the first quarter of 2027. Four-cylinder 330 and 330 xDrive versions are also expected to appear at that time.
