Action fantasy film Reawakened Man released in South Korea — Korea Herald
The action film with fantasy elements, Reawakened Man, directed by Baek Jong-yeol, was released in South Korea on September 30. The protagonist, played by Koo Kyo-hwan, discovers that after every death he returns to life three days later, Korea Herald reports.
Drama about the 1974 murder
The drama thriller The Assassin(s), directed by Hur Jin-ho, was also released in the country on September 23. In the story, journalists played by Park Hae-il and Lee Min-ho, together with a police officer played by Yoo Hae-jin, investigate the 1974 murder of first lady Yuk Young-soo. They confront censorship under an authoritarian regime.

Two more September premieres
Also in theaters since September 23 are the crime thriller Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub, directed by Choi Guk-hee, and the drama Possible Love, directed by Lee Chang-dong. In the first film, a gambler played by Byun Yo-han, who was betrayed by his best friend played by Noh Jae-won, confronts him in a high-stakes international poker game. The protagonists of Possible Love — a laid-off worker and his wife — agree to appear in a documentary film and become entangled in the lives of the film’s female creator and her wealthy husband.
