Diagnosis after examination
According to the agency, Winter had felt unwell even before Aespa’s concert in Miami, which took place on Saturday. Despite this, she took the stage with the other members of the group. During an in-depth medical examination, the singer was diagnosed with shingles, also known as herpes zoster.

SM Entertainment noted that the disease is caused by the same virus as chickenpox. The company apologized to fans on Winter’s behalf. According to the agency, it was the singer herself who decided to miss the performance in order to focus on her health.
Synk: Complexity tour
Aespa is currently on the Synk: Complexity tour, which will continue until February. Five concerts remain in the North American leg of the tour, which is set to end on October 11. In January, the group will resume the tour with performances in Europe.
