Saint Laurent unveils golden collection at Paris Fashion Week — Asharq Al-Awsat
In Paris, France, fashion house Saint Laurent presented its spring-summer 2027 womenswear collection, dominated by gold dresses, jackets, skirts and trench coats. The show took place on September 29 outdoors near the Trocadéro fountain as part of Paris Fashion Week.
Gold and black dresses
Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello staged the runway show on an elevated platform beneath a large golden chandelier. Models appeared in gold dresses with textured embroidery, brocade skirts, jackets with sharp collars and gold trench coats.
The Eiffel Tower, illuminated in gold, shone in the background of the venue. Guests in the front row included Blackpink member Rosé, model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Oscar winners Eddie Redmayne and Rami Malek.

Ten years of Vaccarello at Saint Laurent
The final looks were black dresses with voluminous sleeves and long trains. Charlotte Gainsbourg performed a song in a classic black Saint Laurent suit, after which Vaccarello came out to the audience to applause.
The show took place 10 years after Vaccarello's first presentation for the Parisian brand owned by luxury group Kering. As Asharq Al-Awsat reports, the event was held amid reports of the designer's possible departure from his post. Vaccarello is credited with expanding Saint Laurent's presence: the brand's revenue fell by 6% last year, but in July Kering said it had returned to growth in the first half of the year.
