DTEK has prepared its mines for winter by putting 10 new mining combines into operation

In the first nine months of 2026, DTEK Energo’s machinery manufacturers produced and repaired more than 1,200 units of mining equipment. In particular, the companies produced 10 new mining combines to meet the needs of Ukrainian mines ahead of the heating season.

DTEK Steps Up Mine Preparations for the Heating Season

According to the report, from January through September 2026, more than 1,200 units of mining equipment were manufactured and repaired, and approximately 1.5 million spare parts and components were produced.

“Among the equipment manufactured are 10 new tunneling and longwall shearers, as well as four electric motors,” the statement said.

DTEK Energo CEO Oleksandr Fomenko noted that preparations for winter require the coordinated efforts of miners, power engineers, repair technicians, and machine builders.

"Our machine builders not only manufacture and repair equipment but also test new technical solutions and verify their effectiveness under real production conditions," he said.

“We understand just how high the stakes are for reliability in winter, so everyone is doing their utmost to enter the heating season well-prepared and to ensure more reliable power generation despite all the challenges of the war,” Fomenko added.
