The Rada received a record 5,236 amendments to the 2027 state budget

Members of Parliament have submitted 5,236 amendments to the government’s draft state budget for Ukraine for 2027. This is the highest number of amendments in at least the last 24 years.

Roksolana Pidlasa, chair of the parliamentary budget committee, noted that the number of amendments is 1.5 times higher than last year’s figure.

In her estimation, about two-thirds of the amendments constitute so-called “legislative spam”—they can be used for lengthy speeches on the floor or to promote specific proposals.

Pidlasa calculated that if Parliament spent at least 90 seconds reviewing each amendment, it would take more than 16 full working days. She emphasized that, in parallel with the budget, the Verkhovna Rada must pass other laws necessary to secure international funding.

Earlier, Koretsky spoke about Ukraine’s preparations for the heating season.

Earlier, Koretskyi promised that payments to military personnel would be made consistently and in full.

In Ukraine’s draft state budget for 2027, the base pay for military personnel was left at approximately 20,000 hryvnias.
