Russia Lost Another 1,540 Troops in the Past 24 Hours — General Staff
As of October 6, 2026, the Russian army had lost another 1,540 troops over the previous 24 hours. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released the relevant data on enemy casualties.
As of October 6, Russia has lost the following in the war against Ukraine:
- personnel—approximately 1,544,260 (+1,540) individuals;
- tanks – 12,396 (+3);
- armored combat vehicles – 25,494 (+7);
- artillery systems – 50,785 (+52);
- multiple launch rocket systems – 2,184 (+2);
- air defense systems – 1,688 (+0);
- aircraft – 443 (+0);
- helicopters – 356 (+0);
- ground-based robotic systems – 2,866 (+7) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 549,986 (+1,891) units;
- cruise missiles – 5,126 (+0) units;
- ships/boats – 35 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0) units;
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 158,551 (+566) units;
- special equipment – 4,795 (+2) units

As a reminder, Moscow and the surrounding region were attacked by drones; an oil depot may have been hit.
In Sumy, a Russian FPV drone damaged three vehicles.
