Cars caught fire in Kyiv's Obolon District due to drone debris

In Kyiv’s Obolon district, cars caught fire after debris from a drone fell. The vehicles were parked in the courtyard of a residential building, and emergency services have already been dispatched to the scene.

 

In Kyiv’s Obolon district, parked cars caught fire after debris from an enemy drone fell. According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, the cars were parked in the courtyard of a residential building. Initially, there were reports of one car on fire, but it later emerged that seven more cars were burning at another address in the district. Emergency services were on the scene. Information regarding the extent of the damage and possible casualties was being verified.

This is not the only consequence of the attack on Kyiv. Debris from Russian drones was also reported to have fallen in various districts of the capital. In particular, debris was also reported in the Shevchenkivskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts. In the Sviatoshyn district, the debris caused a fire in three private homes.

In the Dniprovskyi district, drone debris fell near an educational institution. In the Svyatoshynsky district, damage to the roof of an administrative building was also reported. There were also isolated instances of damage in the Solomyansky district. There, a fire broke out in a residential building due to falling debris. According to preliminary information, one person was also injured at one of the addresses.

The attack took place amid a large-scale Russian strike on Ukraine. According to the Air Force, during the attack, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 117 drones, as well as five ballistic missiles and 39 cruise missiles. Impacts and falling debris were recorded at 18 locations, and downed targets were found at five additional sites.

In Kyiv, the aftermath of the attack was observed in several districts of the capital. Emergency services continued to operate on the ground, and residents were urged not to leave their shelters until the air raid alert ended. This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration.

As a reminder, at least two people were killed in Kyiv as a result of the nighttime attack.

Russia struck Zaporizhzhia’s transportation infrastructure.

Russia also struck Dnipro with ballistic missiles, damaging a facility.
