Zelenskyy warns Israeli delegation about Russian and Iranian drones — Jerusalem Post
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a meeting in Kyiv, Ukraine, with an Israeli delegation, warned that drones Iran is developing together with the Russian Federation — the aggressor state — could become a threat to Israel in the future. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.
The delegation included Kharkiv native and former Israeli minister Ze'ev Elkin, Yad Vashem chairman Dani Dayan, Yad Vashem representatives, and officials dealing with Israel's relations with Ukraine. Zelenskyy discussed the war, the situation in the Middle East, and the strategic calculations of Ukraine, Israel and the United States with them. Separately, the Ukrainian president asked about Israel's assessments of Iran.
Visit to Kyiv during an air raid alert
The Israeli delegation arrived in Kyiv for events marking the 85th anniversary of the mass killings at Babyn Yar. Due to the deteriorating security situation, several international delegations cancelled their participation in the commemoration, but representatives of Israel and Germany arrived in the Ukrainian capital.
At night, when Kyiv was attacked by ballistic missiles and drones, the delegation stayed in a temporary shelter set up by the Israeli Embassy at the hotel. Beds were installed in the protected room for the visit's participants.

Commemoration
At Babyn Yar, Elkin delivered a speech in Ukrainian. During the meeting, Zelenskyy noted his command of Ukrainian and joked that the politician's grammar and pronunciation were better than those of some Ukrainian ministers.
Nazi forces and their collaborators killed tens of thousands of Jews in the ravine near Kyiv in September 1941. Elkin and the delegation also held a ceremony together with Ukraine's Jewish community and the Israeli Embassy to commemorate the victims of the October 7 mass killing.
In addition to meeting with Zelenskyy, Elkin held talks with the speaker of parliament and the minister responsible for rebuilding Ukraine's infrastructure after the war.
