Mini unveils off-road Countryman Untamed Edition — Motor1
Mini has unveiled in the United States a special version of the compact Countryman crossover, the Untamed Edition, which will receive a raised suspension, standard ALL4 all-wheel drive and all-terrain tires. The 2027 model will be offered in the gasoline Countryman S ALL4 and electric Countryman SE ALL4 versions, Motor1 reports.
Production of the Untamed Edition is expected to begin in November 2026, with the first deliveries to customers in the United States anticipated in early 2027. The gasoline Countryman S ALL4 Untamed Edition will cost from $45,250, including a $1,350 destination charge. The manufacturer will announce the price of the electric Countryman SE ALL4 closer to the start of sales.
Increased ground clearance and all-terrain tires
The crossover received a suspension raised by 15 mm. A new wheel-and-tire combination increases ground clearance by up to 19 mm, depending on the powertrain. The vehicle is fitted with 19-inch Untamed Edition Spoke wheels and Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires.
For the updated suspension and tires, Mini recalibrated the ABS, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), steering and chassis. The approach and breakover angles have also been optimized. U.S. versions will come standard with a tow hitch, with a claimed maximum trailer weight of 3,500 pounds. The permitted roof load while driving is up to 165 pounds, and up to 661 pounds when stationary.

Exterior and interior updates
The Untamed Edition features new angular grille inserts, Dark Steel trim, redesigned underbody protection elements and a rear diffuser. Parts of the wheel arches, side skirts and hood are protected from stone chips with matte black film. An Untamed badge with a mountain motif is placed on the rear body pillar.
Hideaway Grey, Nomad Blue and Frozen Nomad Blue colors have been prepared for the model. The latter will become the first matte factory body finish for a production Mini. The interior will feature Vescin Nightshade Blue sport seats with perforation and knitted inserts, as well as rubber all-weather floor mats and a cargo-area mat.
The company has also prepared outdoor recreation accessories, including a roof tent created together with Italian manufacturer AutoHome, as well as folding camping chairs and tables from Helinox.
