Poland national team lost to Bosnia and Herzegovina 0:1 — Interia Sport
The Poland national team lost 0:1 to Bosnia and Herzegovina in an away match in Zenica. As Interia Sport reports, there was no specialist striker among the Polish team's substitutes.
Play down the left flank
In the first half, the Poles created danger mainly down the left flank, where Przemysław Frankowski and Nicola Zalewski played. They entered the opponents' penalty area, but often lacked the final pass.
The right flank, where Matty Cash and Karol Świderski played, was described by the author as largely inconspicuous. Świderski had Poland's best chance after cutting inside. In the 63rd minute, Jan Urban substituted both players who had been operating on the right flank.

Criticism of squad selection
The Interia Sport author noted that after Robert Lewandowski received two yellow cards, coach Jan Urban was left with almost no attacking options. Mateusz Żukowski and Karol Świderski started up front against Bosnia and Herzegovina, while there was not a single striker among the substitutes.
The outlet also notes that the Poland national team did not try to actively press the opponent high in their half of the field. In the author's view, the Bosnians demonstrated that organized pressing can disrupt the rhythm of Polish players.
The match was the first for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team after Edin Džeko ended his appearances for the national side. Before the game, a banner thanking the footballer was hung on a building near the stadium, while his name was chanted in the arena.
