More than a million Afghans are returning to the country, some were deported — PBS NewsHour
According to PBS NewsHour, more than a million Afghans who had previously left the country are returning to Afghanistan. Many of them were deported from neighboring countries. At the same time, other Afghans are trying to leave in search of safety.

PBS NewsHour noted that the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan caused an economic collapse and deep uncertainty. According to the outlet, these circumstances are particularly affecting young people.

More than a million people who are returning had previously fled Afghanistan. Some of them are returning not voluntarily, but after being deported from countries bordering Afghanistan.
