Polish President Karol Nawrocki has begun an official visit to the Philippines. According to Interia, the trip is part of Poland’s campaign for permanent membership in the G20. In the coming weeks, the Polish president also plans to visit countries of the so-called Global South.

Meetings in Manila

In Manila, Nawrocki is to begin the program by laying a wreath at the monument to José Rizal. An official welcoming ceremony for Karol and Marta Nawrocki with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos is then scheduled at Malacañang Palace.
