Xbox secures exclusive GTA 6 streaming rights — The Verge
Xbox has secured exclusive rights to cloud-stream Grand Theft Auto VI at the time of the game's release. The Verge reports, citing sources familiar with Microsoft's plans.
Exclusive for Xbox Cloud Gaming
According to the publication, only Xbox Cloud Gaming will be able to stream GTA 6 through a cloud service at launch. The duration of this agreement is currently unknown.
Rockstar Games has not yet announced a PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI. The exclusive cloud-streaming rights could allow Microsoft to promote Xbox Cloud Gaming among PC players who would otherwise need an Xbox Series X or Series S console or a PlayStation 5 to run the game.

Changes to the cloud service
The news emerged about a month after Microsoft announced changes to Xbox Cloud Gaming. Starting in November, the company will limit streaming time for Xbox Game Pass subscribers: up to 15 hours for Ultimate, up to 10 hours for Premium, and up to five hours for Game Pass Essential.
Microsoft also plans to open access to Xbox Cloud Gaming next month under a pay-as-you-go model, rather than only through a Game Pass subscription. Users will be able to pay for packages of streaming hours, including for playing on a phone or without owning an Xbox console.
Next-generation Xbox
During an all-hands meeting, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma said that Microsoft is preparing something for Grand Theft Auto VI that no other platform holder is doing. She also said that Project Helix, the next generation of Xbox hardware, will consist of a family of devices, some of which Microsoft will create in partnership with other companies.
