Ukrainian defense forces struck Russian military targets in the occupied territories
On October 5 and during the night of October 6, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against a number of military facilities belonging to the Russian occupiers in the temporarily occupied territories. Among the targets hit were a telecommunications hub near Donetsk, a command post, a drone depot, and an ammunition depot.
Strikes on enemy military facilities continued on October 5 and overnight into October 6, 2026.
In the Donetsk area, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a telecommunications hub belonging to the Russian occupying forces.
In addition, in the Shchaslyvtseve area of the Kherson region, Ukrainian forces struck the command post of one of the Russian army’s units.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces also struck enemy troop concentrations. Specifically, these included the areas of Sokolohirsk in the Luhansk region and Burlatske in the Donetsk region.
Separately, the Ukrainian military struck Russian logistics and support facilities.
For example, a warehouse containing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was struck in the Sieverskodonetsk area of Luhansk Oblast.
In the Khrustalnyi area, Ukrainian defenders struck an ammunition depot belonging to the Russian occupiers.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to strike military targets of the Russian occupation forces.
On the night of October 6, strike drones attacked the Moscow region of Russia.
According to preliminary data, the Moscow oil refinery in Kapotnya may have been hit. It is noted that the facility supplies about 40% of Moscow’s fuel market.

Operators from the 413th SBS “Raid” Regiment struck a Russian BM-27 “Uragan” multiple-launch rocket system in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The strike was carried out by Ukrainian drone operators.
