Eight people were injured in Kyiv following a daytime attack by Russia

In Kyiv, the number of people injured in today’s attack by Russian drones has risen to eight. The worst damage was reported in the Solomyanskyi district, where debris from a drone caused a fire in a five-story building. Two of the injured were hospitalized.

 

This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko. “There are already eight casualties in the Solomyanskyi district of the capital. Two of the injured were hospitalized,” he wrote. Earlier reports had indicated two casualties in the Solomyanskyi district. There, a five-story residential building caught fire after debris from a Russian drone fell on it.

The fire broke out as a result of the drone debris falling. Emergency services were on the scene, and medical personnel provided assistance to the victims. Subsequently, the number of people injured in the attack rose to eight. Two of them were taken to the hospital.

Where Else Did Debris Land?

The consequences of the attack were also reported in other districts of the capital. In the Dniprovskyi district, drone debris fell near an educational institution. No reports of casualties were received from this location. In the Sviatoshynskyi district, drone debris damaged the roof of an administrative building.

Thus, the Russian attack during the day affected several districts of Kyiv at once. The Solomyanskyi district was hit the hardest, where a residential building caught fire due to falling debris and people were injured. City authorities are continuing to assess the consequences of the attack. Information regarding the number of casualties and the extent of damage may be updated. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported this on Telegram.

As a reminder, at least two people were killed in Kyiv as a result of the nighttime attack.

Russia struck Zaporizhzhia’s transportation infrastructure.

Russia also struck Dnipro with ballistic missiles, damaging a facility.
